Whole Community Catechesis
Ms. Florence Anderle, Director of Adult
Formation

St. Mary's - St. Boniface has adopted
the new concept of Whole Community
Catechesis as the way to approach faith
formation involving adults and youth as
well as children. What we do in
formation and education will involve all
age groups - all ages learning, growing,
and living faith.

Initiating Whole community Catechesis
the parish will:

  1. "Break Open the World" of the
    Sunday Scriptures throughout the
week with the help of the
    "Reflection Question of the Week."
This makes the Sunday Liturgy the
focal point for all to share their faith
    about what they believe.
  2. Develop households of faith by
encouraging parents to play a vital
role with all the other members of
    the community.
  3. Participate in Catechetical
Gatherings in which all age groups
    will assembly for learning, faith
    sharing, and prayer.
